At the start of February this year we will be introducing a mixed class, the same as a monday class, on weds evenings before the senior class. This will consist of age groups 5 up to and including 16. Please see our dojo times page for details.

Winter gradings - To be held at Blakenhall dojo.
Mon (Junior) grading – Sunday 11th February 9.30 am - 12.00 pm
Chukan no (Intermediate) grading – Sunday 11th February 12.45 pm - 16.45 pm
Kyu (Senior) grading – Sunday 21st January 09.30 am - 16.00 pm.
Summer Gradings - to be held at Blakenhall dojo.

Kyu (Senior) grading – Sunday 22nd July 09.30 am - 16.00 pm
Through August only, the Junior & Intermediate classes at Blakenhall will be closed during half term. However the seniors will be open over the summer. Bradwell dojo will also be open during August but this will be a mixed class consisting of junior, intermediate and senior categories at the temporary time of 19.15 - 20.30 pm from friday 3/8/18 to and including 31/8/18 .
All classes will resume normal days and times week commencing Monday 3rd September.
The summer Kobudo course will be divided over 2 monday evenings - 20th & 27th August, both classes at the time of 19.00 pm til 20.30 pm. The cost is £25.00 which is payable in advance. This 2 day course is open to anybody who has a martial art licence. The first part will cover jojutsu, bojutsu & bokken, and the second will cover escrima, kama & hanbo and Sai. Please make sure that you have the majority of weapons as there is only a certain amount available on the day.

Sunday July 20th saw the academy host a seminar with the legendary Renshi John Lovatt 6th Dan.The day consisted of drawing and cutting of the tachi (sword) with sequences covering standing and kneeling techniques.All that attended were totally enthralled by Renshi John Lovatts smooth and concise technique of Iaido,along with his narrative tales of his days training under great sensei's.A fun but very interesting day.Many thanks to Renshi John for his time to take the seminar
